A pre-wedding photoshoot is fast becoming more popular than a first-look photoshoot.
Let me help you understand the difference...
A 'first-look' photoshoot became a popular way to get all the photos you wanted taken on the wedding day without keeping your guests waiting for you between the end of your ceremony and the start of the reception (wedding breakfast for those abroad).
Couples have started to use the 'first-look' to have their first moment seeing each other in private or with a smaller group of attendees rather than being in front of all of their guests. It seems a great way to utilise your wedding photography package. However.......
....You lose time in the morning for getting ready. Even a 3 or 4pm ceremony start time normally means an 8 or 9am start depending on the size of your bridal party so keep these things in mind when planning because if you have X amount of people for hair and makeup and getting dressed and then you would like a family photoshoot or first-look photoshoot BEFORE the ceremony you will need to have all hair and makeups complete at least 2 hours before the ceremony time to allow for this.
So this may bring your getting ready start time earlier in the morning = no beauty sleep-ins and an early start from your venue and vendors = extra costs or you may need to increase the number of hair and makeup artists for your group = extra costs or you may need to reduce your numbers of the bridal party on the day.
So WHY is a Pre-Wedding photoshoot so much better?...
Close your eyes and imagine how would it feel to have a once in a lifetime, stress-free, pre-arranged Pre-Wedding photoshoot with your fiancé where you choose your favourite or dream location, or maybe this is where your proposal took place.
Choose the perfect time of day for you i.e sunset/sunrise, select your gown/outfits and I create your desired hairstyling and makeup for that shoot.
Locally arranged shoots can be half-day shoots. Domestic travel 2-3 days and international shoots up to 4-5 days.
Enjoy an incredibly unique experience and capture photos that you would never get on your wedding day. Photographers will offer videography too which is absolutely priceless.
Use the footage and images from this shoot for your engagement announcements or wedding invitations. You may wish to display these on your wedding website for guests or even at the wedding. Make a special coffee table album just for this special time that you and your fiancé arranged together and didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed.
If this sounds like you - book a call with me and we can discuss your ideal shoot.
